The student

- is able to assess the status, rights and inclusion of children, young people and families
- is able to create professional interactions and identify guidance needs
- identify the needs and conditions of children, young people and families from different backgrounds
- examines her/his own attitudes and actions in relation to different customers and their life situations
- is able to assess the client's well-being holistically (physical, mental, social)
- is familiar with social security service systems

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Fail (0):

Professional knowledge base and concepts:
The student does not know the theoretical basis and concepts and cannot describe the phenomena in question and related situations. The student is not familiar with service systems that provide social security.

Professional activities:
The student does not recognize the needs and operating conditions of customers from different starting points. The student is not able to look at his / her own attitude and actions in relation to different clients.

Ethical competence and responsibility:
The student is not able to describe the values and ethical principles of the profession. The student does not understand the status, rights and involvement of the client.

Satisfactory (1-2):

Professional knowledge base and concepts:
The student knows the theoretical basis and concepts that are used superficially in phenomena and situations. The student identifies the structures and processes of the service system and the legislation governing them. The student describes the activity mainly with the help of practical information.

Professional activities:
The student identifies the needs of customer support and services and knows the basic skills of guidance and support. The student knows and is able to use a few professional methods of individual, group and community work. The student identifies and takes into account legislation, national and international recommendations in service planning, decision-making and operations. The student identifies the development needs of social work and its everyday practices.

Ethical competence and responsibility:
The student understands the importance of justice and the inviolability of human dignity. The student knows people’s involvement, agency and self-determination principles. The student takes responsibility for his / her actions and takes into account work practices that increase safety. The student acts in accordance with the values and ethical principles of the profession.

The student knows the central theoretical basis and concepts that are applied in various phenomena and situations. The student mainly knows the structures and processes of the service system and the legislation governing them. The student evaluates and justifies the activity with the help of research and practical information.

Professional activities:
The student recognizes the needs of customer support and services and is able to guide and support them in complex or unforeseen work situations. The student knows and is able to apply professional methods of individual, group and community work. The student is able to apply legislation, national and international recommendations in service planning, decision-making and operations legislation. The student identifies the need to develop and reform social work and its practices.

Ethical competence and responsibility:
Through his / her activities, the student supports the realization of justice and the inviolability of human dignity. He supports people's inclusion, agency and self-determination. The student acts responsibly and creates work practices that increase safety. The student justifies his actions in accordance with the values and ethical principles of the profession.

The student knows and is able to expertly apply professional methods of individual, group and community work. The student is able to apply legislation, national and international recommendations in service planning, decision-making and operations. The student develops and renews social work and its practices.
