Objective

Inclusion management means empowering people, organization becomes effective by capitalizing on all strenghts of each employee. It Is also understanding, valuing and using differences in every person which prevents discrimination and promotes integration. The task of a leader is to create great work teams by using the full potential of every individual (competitive advantage)

A leader’s key role is to create a work environment that enhances the work environment, increases motivation and promotes well-being at work. The objective of inclusion management is to give each individual employee the opportunity to grow and develop individually and collectively, and for the company to have a good work environment, well-being at work, and productivity. It also serves as a basis for innovation; different skills, thinking, or ways of working develop new perspectives and ways of working or providing new services and product ideas to meet customer needs. The objective of the course is that the student is able to lead inclusion in diverse and multicultural teams.

The module aims to sensitise talents (students) to the concepts of diversity and inclusion in professional world. To inculcate a leadership quality that recognises and hones the strategic benefits for an organisation in promoting diverse and inclusive values, a leadership that actively seeks to create work environment in facilitating opportunities and growth for all employees.
In order for professionals to accomplish tasks in hand within the competitive global economy, diversity management competence is a must for all experts due to the complexities of the diverse business environment.
Talents are made aware of the ever-changing world with special attention to the business field and, to learn to adjust and adapt themselves in various business environments to positively influence the conduct of business interactions.
This course is indispensable for international business professionals who need to communicate in a persuasive and compelling way.

The course focuses on involving the talents in exploring and tackling situations resulting from inter- and intra-organisational interactions in diverse working environments. With the aim to promote and facilitate inclusive values, efficient and effective communication strategies, and techniques are pursued for messaging, reporting, concluding negotiations and meetings, and delivering dynamic presentations.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

0. The student did not submit the course assignments or these assignments did not meet the minimal quality requirements presented in the class.
1 – 2. The student has delivered the assignments, which are prepared generally according to the defined requirements. The student understands mostly correctly the inclusion and diversity management concepts and is able to apply them in team work. However, there is a room for development in the content of the assignments. Recommendations are rather general and are not elaborated in details.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

3 – 4. The student has delivered the assignments, which are prepared according to the requirements presented in the class. The student understands very well inclusion and diversity management concepts and is able to apply them correctly. The student also understands well the role of cultural intelligence and fair leadership. Additionally, the student is able to give useful development recommendations utilizing his/her knowledge and skills.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

5. The student has delivered the course assignments and these are prepared according to the requirements presented in the class. The student understands deeply the inclusion and diversity management concepts and is able to apply them correctly. The student also understands well and is able to analyze critically the role of leadership in cross-cultural teams. In addition, the student is able to propose ideas for development of cultural intelligence and motivating work environment. Moreover, the student is able to give useful development recommendations with proper argumentation in different situations concerning participation and fair leadership.

Assessment methods and criteria

- mandatory and competent participation during online sessions consisting of interactive discussions tasks, a must (50% of the final grade)
- satisfactory completion of all assignments by the due dates (50% of the final grade)
