Objective

Course goal is to get to know to 3D printing of polymers (plastic materials) through different printing technologies (FDM, SLA, SLS).
A 3D printable product/assembly will be designed and implemented in the course, in which suitable 3D printing technology will be chosen through Process selection for AM.
The student learns to apply DFAM (Design For Additive Manufacturing) principles through different printing technologies. The student learns also the safety and working principles and to apply them in practice (equipment, materials and chemicals).
Student learns the principles of Reverse engineering through 3D scanning. The student learns the basics of laser cutting and engraving.
The student learns the principles of working in laboratory.
