Objective

Having completed this study unit
· You understand the potential and the significance of designing new luxury tourism services and products to support regenerative nature-tourism in the Northern environments.
· You gain knowledge of future-oriented approaches when designing innovative new luxury tourism products and services.
· You are familiar with the requirements of new luxury tourism products and services set by Visit Finland e.g. service excellence, authenticity, attractiveness, responsibility, safety, inclusivity, accessibility and salability.
· You know the key concepts of product and service design processes in tourism.
· You have basic readiness to design innovative new luxury tourism products and services by using various design tools and methods.
· You are able to take into consideration networking and chain management in the designing process.
