Objective

High-end tourism is a growing sector. In this study unit, the student understands the concept of sustainability in the high-end tourism industry. The student gets familiar with the definitions of sustainable high-end tourism and the basic elements of high-end luxury tourism. In addition, the student understands the customer perspective on sustainable high-end tourism and learns the basics of marketing high-end tourism products and services. The student gets an understanding of the operational management of sustainable high-end customer experience.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Fail (0)
The student does not complete the assignments according to the instructions or does not attend the learning situations at all. He/she does not pass the assignments, tests and/or the exam as required.

Poor (1)
The student understands the concept of sustainable high-end tourism poorly. He/she is familiar with some elements of high-end luxury tourism. The student has a limited understanding of the basics of marketing of high-end tourism products and services. The student understands somehow the operational management of sustainable high-end customer experience. The assignments are completed but not always performed according to the instructions and deadlines.

Satisfactory (2)
The student understands somehow the concept of sustainable high-end tourism. He/she is familiar with the basic elements of high-end luxury tourism at a satisfactory level. The student has a limited understanding of the basics of marketing of high-end tourism products and services. The student understands somehow the operational management of sustainable high-end customer experience. The assignments are completed but not always performed according to the instructions and deadlines.

The student understands well the concept of sustainable high-end tourism. He/she is familiar with the basic elements of high-end luxury tourism. The student has a good understanding of the basics of marketing of high-end tourism products and services. The student has obtained a realistic view of the operational management of sustainable high-end customer experience. Most of the assignments are performed according to the instructions and deadlines.

The student understands the concept of sustainable high-end tourism very well. He/she is very well familiar with the basic elements of sustainable high-end luxury tourism. The student has a very good understanding of the basics of marketing of high-end tourism products and services. The student has obtained a holistic view of the operational management of sustainable high-end customer experience. All the assignments are performed according to the instructions and deadlines.
