Objective
Having completed this study unit,
- You know how to define event types and event theory.
- You understand the instrumental nature of an event from an event organiser’s viewpoint and know how to apply what you have learned in practice.
- You know how to look at an event through a strategic as well as an operational dimension. You know how to apply the knowledge base of an event’s strategic and operative dimension (S=what, to whom, why and O= when, how, who) in practice.
- You know how to follow the norms of responsible event organisation and define the risks associated with an event.

You know how to define the concepts of event types poorly.
You know how to apply the theoretical knowledge of organising an event only partially and superficially. You do not know how to apply theory in practice in learning tasks.
Strategic and operational dimension of an event:
You recognise the strategic and operational dimension of an event but are only able to apply it poorly in practice.
Responsible event:
You know how to anticipate the risks associated with an event poorly and there are clear gaps in applying information.
Level 2
Event knowledge base and event types:
You have a satisfactory knowledge of the theoretical knowledge of organising an event and are able to apply it partly in learning tasks.
Strategic and operational dimension of an event:
You know how to partly de-scribe the strategic and operational dimension of an event, but there are shortcomings in putting the information into practice.
Responsible event:
You know how to partly anticipate and analyse some of the risks associated with an event and you are able to define the concepts of responsibility.
