After having completed this course or attained an equivalent competence level, the student: - identifies the principles and challenges of multi-cultural teamwork - recognizes different tools and practices of project management - develops teamwork and works purposefully in diverse teams - takes advantage of good practice in project work - sees opportunities and advantages of diversity in project teams - collaborates inclusively, ethically, sustainably and responsibly in multi-cultural teams

Implementations: Contact, Online, Demo and Work&Study If you already meet the learning objectives of this course, you can demonstrate your knowledge. You can do this by taking the DEMO implementation, which you need to sign up for through PEPPI. For your demonstration, you must create a video showing how the basics of teamwork and project management can be applied in practice. The video should include the key concepts and project management methods. In the video, you will need to combine theory and practice. Suoritustavat

Working in a team and managing a project are basic skills in today’s work and study environment. In a well-functioning team 1+1 becomes more than two and diversity is perceived as a strength. In this course, you will learn to participate effectively and responsibly in multi-cultural teams and projects. You will acquire skills for handling challenging situations in teams and you will be able to execute projects related to work or studies. In this course, among other objectives, you will learn how to set objectives for a project, how to write a project plan and how to develop teamwork. You learn more about yourself by analyzing team working methods and team role tests. A human being learns in interaction with others, so this course will benefit you throughout your life.

This course is a part of all Haaga-Helia's degrees and the student can participate in any implementation. This implementation is specifically aimed at students of International Business degree. The course combines theory and practice. If you have gained competence/skills matching the learning objectives of this course you can show your skills and competences through demonstration. In this course, you will address the challenges of teamwork and project management through both work-life cases and managing your own studies.

Tenttien ajankohdat ja uusintamahdollisuudet

The course includes two exams: one focused on teamwork skills and the other on project management skills. In addition to the exam books, the exam questions will also be based on other specifically designated course materials, which can be found on Moodle. The exams must be completed during the course. Each exam can be retaken once during the course.

This course can also be completed by demonstrating your competence. Before attempting the demonstration, please review the study guide. Through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), you will show your existing competence that aligns with the course's content. It's important to thoroughly understand the learning objectives and assessment criteria before you decide to do the demonstration. Enrollment for the demonstration is done in Peppi.
