Tavoitteet
Having completed this study unit (Objective skills level is A1.3 (CEFR).)
• You develop and deepen oral and written communication skills and knowledge of Finnish culture.
• You develop skills in Finnish for simple communication situations in everyday life.
• You can tell about yourself, others, and the environment and ask and answer questions about everyday life, such as food and clothing, and daily activities in the past tense.
• You can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly.

- Regular, weekly on campus- lessons.
Oppimateriaalit
Suomen mestari 1- digital (study) book. The student will get access to the digital study material once the course starts. The teacher will give more information and details on how to acquire the digital material during the first lesson.
Opetusmenetelmät
- Regular, weekly lessons on campus
- Teacher-led learning, pair work, group work and individual work during lessons
- Studying through written exercises, oral exercises and listening comprehension exercises
Tenttien ajankohdat ja uusintamahdollisuudet
The final exam includes a written and a spoken test, which are arranged on campus at the end of the course. The teacher will give more information about the tests during the course.
If needed, the student may re-take a test twice.
Toteutuksen valinnaiset suoritustavat
If the student already has Finnish skills on at least level A1 (CEFR), we recommend continuing to learn Finnish on a more advanced level. Please contact the teacher.
Opiskelijan ajankäyttö ja kuormitus
Contact (on campus) lessons approximately twice a week. Altogether there are about 80 hours of on campus- lessons. The student is also expected to spend time studying, finishing any given learning tasks and revising at home.
