Content

In the course, you will learn to interact in Italian in basic communicative situations, such as introducing yourself, talking about your studies and work, ordering food and drinks and shopping for some basic items.
The course is built around three main units:
1) Piacere di conoscerti! > introducing yourself: name, age, nationality, residence, language skills, work/studies.
2) Il conto, per favore. > ordering food and drinks in a cafeteria and in a restaurant, paying the bill.
3) Acquisti in città > shopping for basic everyday items in different stores, e.g. pharmacy, tobacconist’s, grocery store.

During the lessons, we will concentrate on listening comprehension, pronunciation and speaking exercises, and we will use pair and group exercises and small games in order to activate your communication skills. At home, you will be required to do some preparatory work for the lessons, as well as some homework and online activities.
