Tavoitteet

Under this study unit, students can include courses and course modules that are offered by ULapland, other universities or by visiting lecturers. They should be master level courses (at minimum), and deal with topics relevant to the profile of the degree program, that is, environmental crises, climate change, biodiversity loss, and global inequality. Relevant courses are recommended in a yearly basis, and they can be found in the Moodle folder that also contains more specific instructions.

Instructions for completing 5 credits during the 1st period of 2025-2026:
Lectures by Prof. Jacopo Zotti: Economic development, human development… or sustainable development?
Topics: Economic development, human development and sustainable development. In other words: the basics of economic thinking and a review of the main concepts of environmental economics, including reduction, dematerialization and circular economy.

Relevant courses are recommended in a yearly basis, and the recommendations can be found in the Moodle. The recommendations are updated throughout the year.
