Under guidance, you can assess the need for and urgency of care and decision making and identify your role as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Under guidance, you can prepare and refer patients for clinical examinations and treatments in emergency and reception services.
You know national guidelines and recommendations for emergency and reception services.
You know different referral methods in emergency and reception services.
You know the role of the northern region and distances in emergency and reception services and know available digital services in social services and healthcare.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

You can assess the need for and urgency of care and decision making and act as part of a multidisciplinary team.
You can prepare and refer patients for clinical examinations and treatments in emergency and reception services and make conclusions.
You can use national guidelines and recommendations for nursing in emergency and reception services.
You can guide and support patients in self-care and in improving health using different methods in emergency and reception services.
You understand the role of the northern region and distances in emergency and reception services and can use digital services in social services and healthcare.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

You can independently assess the need for and urgency of care and decision making as part of a multidisciplinary team.
You can independently prepare and refer patients for clinical examinations and treatments in emergency and reception services and make the conclusions required.
You can critically use national guidelines and recommendations for nursing in emergency and reception services.
You can provide clients with individual guidance and support in self-care and in improving health in different operating environments in emergency and reception services.
You analyse the role of the northern region and distances in emergency and reception services and based on your assessments, can use digital services in social services and healthcare.

Assessment methods and criteria

Case studies in groups: Max 20 points. 100% attendance in seminars is needed.
Workshops: Minimum 75% attendance.
Online courses: Approved /Failed.
Exam: Max 25 points. Student must have at least 12,5 points to pass the exam.
Courses numeric grading (1-5) consists of combined result of the case assignment and the exam, and it will be given after passing/approved all the objectives of the course.
