Objective

Having successfully completed the course, the student will :
1) be able to discuss about news topics related to law in France
2) acquire a specialized vocabulary in the field of law
3) express his/her opinion
4) convince and persuade through a plea
5) achieve the level B2 of the CEFR (the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

Content

The courses focuses mostly on oral and listening skills.
Discussions about the latest news topics related to the legal field in France.
Authentic documents will be used : videos, radio extracts, press articles...
You will also work on argumentation to convince and persuade through a plea.

If you miss the first class session and have not discussed your absence with the teacher, your place can be given to the first person on the waiting list.

Remember to cancel your registration if you will not be taking the course.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

1) 80% attendance is required. It is allowed to miss maximum 2 classes. Extra homework will be done to compensate for your absences.

2) Active participation in class.

3) Final exam (oral).
