Objective
Having successfully completed the course, the student will:
1. be familiar with the most important written and oral text types of Italian business language
2. have a deeper knowledge of the vocabulary related to their own field of expertise in Italian
3. be able to solve simple written and oral tasks in the context of an international cooperation project
4. know the most important aspects of Italian workplace and business communication culture
5. achieve the level B1 of the CEFR in written and spoken interaction.
Content
The course features two main parts:
1. General knowledge of Italian business culture and communication
2. Business communication in my field of studies.
After familiarizing yourself with the most important linguistic and cultural aspects of Italian business communication, you will work in pairs or small groups and plan an international cooperation project that is relevant for your field of studies. In the end of the course, each pair or group will present their project to the class.

Assessment criteria
1. Active participation in the course meetings
2. Completion of homework assignments and preliminary activities
3. Active participation in the pair/group work and presentation of the project.
Qualifications
Basic to intermediate skills in Italian (min. level A2), e.g. the basic courses (1-4) offered by the Language Centre. It is recommended that you attend the course TITA0201 Italian Reading Comprehension before attending this course. If you are unsure whether the course is suitable for you, please contact the teacher before the beginning of the course.
