Lectures in "Energy Sustainability and Resources Law (ESRL)", 20.-23.11.2023
Lecturer: researcher Nana Asare Obeng-Darko (LL.D.)

This course provides students with an overview of global energy law in the context of the sustainable use of natural resources for energy needs. The course covers all forms of energy resources, from fossil fuels to renewables. It introduces the notions of ‘energy transition’ and ‘sustainable transition’ to student as well as what is meant by ‘sovereignty’ over natural resources. The course discusses the laws and policies promoting sustainability in energy production and consumption from both the EU and international perspectives. Additionally, the course presents energy-related causes to global environmental and climate issues and how ‘sustainable energy transition’ could help provide dynamic solutions to those fundamental issues.

The lectures are arranged at the University but are hybrid, i.e. joining the lectures virtually is also possible. NB. The lectures are NOT recorded and lecture exams are only arranged at the University i.e. NO remote lecture exams.
