Objective

You are able to plan and develop a 3D game with game engine. You can produce and edit 3D graphics and animation to AR applications.

Execution methods

This course can be implemented as a hybrid or online course. More detailed description can be found from the implementation plan.

Accomplishment methods

Studies can be carried out participating to lectures or discuss with the lecturer of your own plan. Your own plan has to be discussed before lecturers and it should be realistic. The responsible lecturer can accept or reject your plan.

- Basics of game engine (Unity)
- 3D graphics and animation to AR applications
- Game development with C# language

The course is carried out in Zoom and Moodle 21.10. - 10.11.2024.

Teaching methods

Zoom sessions are from 9.00 to 12.00. Detailed schedule is on the calender. Independent work.

Toteutuksessa ei järjestetä tenttejä.
1. uusinta on 2 kuukautta viimeisen palautettavan työn päivämäärästä ja 2. uusinta on seuraavan lukukauden hiihtolomaviikon jälkeen.

You understand what game programming is and recognize the tools and methods needed in game programming.

You can modify simple game parts with the help of examples.

You can develop functionality of a game program based on given specification.

You can develop a simple game based on given specification and with a help of examples.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Excellent 5
You can independently plan and develop a functional game based on the given specifications.

Qualifications

Previously acquired knowledge and skills in Object Oriented Programming are required.
