Objective
The student becomes familiar with the Finnish National Certificate of Language Proficiency at the A2 level (basic level YKI test).
The student gets acquainted with the four different subtests, structures, and question types of the YKI test and learns how to register for the test. The student develops his/her producing skills and answering techniques for spoken and written tasks required in the test.
Student improves his/her abilities to self-evaluate language skills and possible success in the test.
The actual YKI test is not included in this study unit.

The study unit is designed for A2 level students, but it is suitable for those taking the B-level test. The study unit covers the task types of both levels and you can practice different tasks at your own level. For example, speaking exercises may be practiced in groups.
