Content
1. Tutoring: The tutor knows the study environment of the University of Applied Sciences and develops it through peer tutoring and gains performance experience in various presentation tasks. The tutor is able to provide guidance in matters related to Lapland UAS, the study field and his/her study program, as well as student services and welfare services. The tutor has an opportunity to work as an international tutor, sport tutor and/or marketing tutor.
And / or
2. Student union / Student association activities: The student is a member of Lapland UAS student union/ student association and provides information and guidance on issues related to their activities. The student has been selected for a student association’s board whose office is located in some Lapland UAS unit. The student contributes to school environment positive way by developing the school community and increase community as a representative of the student union/association.
And / or
3. Lapland UAS work groups: The student is selected in work group of Lapland UAS as a student representative and provides information and guidance on issues related to their work and/or the student is improving the quality of different kind of processes inside the school. The student participates in evaluation processes related to teaching and learning environment as well as participate in activities that promote Lapland UAS quality work. The student who wishes to participate in the development of the University of Applied Sciences and is not selected in one of the above-mentioned trustees may, if they wish, complete this course. In this case, please contact the study counsellor.
Assessment criteria, approved/failed
EVALUATION METHODS AND CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION
The course is completed by working as a tutor either 135 or 270 lessons.
Peer tutoring include: participating in tutor training and working as a peer tutor.
Community efficiency include: influencing inside the school community in the school environment. Participating in association’s trainings can be counted as Community efficiency.
In order to obtain evaluation and credits, the tutoring is reported in accordance with the instructions in the final report.
Student Tutor: write down the working hours in the log book, write a final report and print a document. Submits the printed document to association’s head tutor for signing. After that tutor submits the signed report to the study counsellor.
Student Union / Student association member of board/ representative: The student fills in the log book, writes the final report and prints the document. The student submits the document to the chairman of the Student Union / student association for sign. The student then submits the report to the study counsellor.
Student representative in UAS work groups: The student fills in the log book and submits it to the study counsellor.
Evaluation: fail / approved
