Objective
The aim of the course is to introduce the student to the implementation and management of an EU-funded project. After the course:
• You understand the phases of project implementation
• You know the two areas of project management: leadership and management
• You know the principles of teamwork, also in multicultural teams
• You know how to utilize the tools used in project implementation
• You know the roles and descriptions of duties for project personnel
• You understand project monitoring and reporting
• You understand the importance of the continuity of results
Competences: proactive development, operating in a workplace, internationality and multiculturalism
Content
Phases of project implementation: initiation, implementation, conclusion
The two areas of project management: leadership and management
The principles of teamwork, also in multicultural teams
The tools used in the implementation of a project
Roles and descriptions of duties for project personnel
Project progress monitoring and reporting
Budget structure and financial monitoring
Continuity and measurement of results
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Fail (0) The student does not demonstrate an understanding of the phases of project implementation and management. The student does not demonstrate knowledge of the comprehensive management of projects and the tools used. The student does not know how to describe their own starting points in multicultural teamwork and does not show an understanding of the starting points of others. The student does not know how to describe the processes of the implementation phase of the project cycle.
Poor (1) The student shows a slight understanding of the phases of project implementation and management. The student shows little knowledge of the comprehensive management of projects and the tools used. The student can slightly describe their own starting points in multicultural teamwork and shows a slight understanding of the starting points of others. The student can describe the processes of the implementation phase of the project to a small extent.
Satisfactory (2) The student shows a superficial understanding of the phases of project implementation and management. The student shows a superficial knowledge of the comprehensive management of projects and the tools used. The student can superficially describe their own starting points in multicultural teamwork and shows a superficial understanding of others' starting points. The student can describe the processes of the project implementation phase superficially.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
Good (3) The student shows an understanding of the phases of project implementation and management. The student demonstrates competence in the comprehensive management of projects and the tools used. The student can describe their own starting points in multicultural teamwork and shows an understanding of the starting points of others. The student can describe the processes of the project implementation phase in a versatile and well-founded manner.
Very good (4) The student shows a broad understanding of the phases of project implementation and management. The student demonstrates wide-ranging knowledge of comprehensive project management and the tools used in it. The student knows how to describe and analyze their own starting points in multicultural teamwork and shows a broad understanding of the starting points of others. The student can describe and analyze the processes of the project implementation phase in a versatile and well-founded manner.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
Excellent (5) The student shows a deep understanding of the phases of project implementation and management. The student demonstrates in-depth knowledge of comprehensive project management and the tools used in it. The student knows how to describe and deeply analyze their own starting points in multicultural teamwork and shows a deep understanding of the starting points of others. The student knows how to describe and analyze the processes of the project implementation phase in a versatile, well-grounded, and development-oriented way.
