Objective

Having successfully completed the course the student will be able
1) to solve simple tasks of oral and written communication in international projects and networking
2) to achieve the level B1 of the CEFR (the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

Content

The contents of the course are divided in two parts: mostly oral skills, and written skills. The oral exercises are carried out in pairs and small groups. Short, topic-related documents are read and written based on examples. Texts and other materials are read and related exercises are done. The texts produced in the course replace the final exam.

XESP0001-4 Spanish 1-4 or equivalent, i.e. high school Spanish.

The course is typically taken after the reading comprehension course. Another arrangement is possible if the active language skills are sufficient. The basic courses XESP0001-0004 make it possible to build sufficient language skills during one academic year.
