Objective

The aim is to activate your Finnish, to enhance your fluency in everyday situations, and to encourage you to use the language outside the classroom.

Having completed the course you will
1) understand most of what is said in everyday situations
2) be able rather clearly to describe your surroundings, your studies, and daily events
3) be able to present and justify your opinions
4) recognize some features of colloquial language
5) have the opportunity to achieve the level B1.1 of the six-level CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

Content

Exercises on speaking Finnish and understanding spoken Finnish. Presentations and conversation in small groups on given topics. The teacher and the students jointly agree on the studying method.

Qualifications

The course is available to those who have completed the Finnish for Foreigners 1–4 courses and to those with corresponding skills (language skill level A2.1–A2.2).
