Objective

The aim of the course is to deepen your grammar skills and your reading comprehension. You will study various text types and learn structures essential to reading comprehension.

Having completed the course you will
1) understand the main issues in texts dealing with a variety of topics
2) know rather well the salient structures of basic grammar
3) know more about various text types
4) be able to deepen your Finnish skills without tuition
5) have the opportunity to achieve the level B1 of the six-level CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

Content

The main emphasis is on practicing the structures of basic grammar, increasing your vocabulary, and reading various types of text.

Qualifications

XFIN0221 Finnish Structure and Texts 1 or corresponding skills (language skill level A2.2–B1).

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
