Osaamistavoitteet
After successful completion of the course, the doctoral candidates will be able to:
- understand the theoretical foundations of service design
- apply service design thinking and relevant research literature into their own research case.
Sisältö
The purpose of the course is to familiarize the students with multidisciplinary research on service design. It is based on design research and service design research. The readings included in the course introduce the areas of design science and constructive design research, as well as the history of design research methodologies and in particular, the research through design approach.
Esitietovaatimukset
The course is organised for doctoral candidates at the University of Lapland, in the doctoral programme The Arctic in a Changing World. Doctoral candidates from other programmes are also welcome to participate in the course.
