French 4 (CEFR A2)Laajuus (4 cr)

Objective

Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).
Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.
Can describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.
Achieve the level A2 of the CEFR (the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

Content

The course is based on: listening, reading, writing and speaking exercises.
The course teaches from the following topics and grammar points, among others: Christmas time, comparative/superlative forms, passé-composé/imperfect tense, holidays, hobbies, at the winery, negative words, pluperfect/simple past tense, telling a story in the past.

Qualifications

XRAN0001 French 1 - XRAN0003 French 3 or equivalent studies.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

1) active participation in class (attendance min. 80%)

2) completion of homework assignments

3) final exam.
