Having completed this study unit
· You understand the potential and the significance of designing new luxury tourism services and products to support regenerative nature-tourism in the Northern environments.
· You are familiar with of future-oriented approaches when designing innovative new luxury tourism products and services.
· You are familiar with the requirements of new luxury tourism products and services set by Visit Finland e.g. service excellence, authenticity, attractiveness, responsibility, safety, inclusivity, accessibility and scalability.
· You know the key concepts of product and service design processes in tourism.
· You are able to design innovative new luxury tourism products and services by using various design tools and methods.
· You are able to take into consideration networking and chain management in the designing process.

• key concepts and various tools related to designing products and services in tourism (e.g. customer persona, experiential customer journey, prototyping, product cards for different use)
• networks and chain management within new luxury tourism
• practical new luxury tourism design project commissioned by a tourism company/organisation
