Osaamistavoitteet

The primary objective of the module is to help the student to understand and discuss various questions related to air law.

Air law from the international perspective, including for example:

- general aspects
- the Chicago Convention
- the International Civil Aviation Organization
- air service agreements, airline alliances
- air carrier liability
- financial arrangements
- safety and security
- environmental issues.

Esitietovaatimukset

No pre-requirements. Having studied the basics of public international law in some form greatly aids in completing the module.

Semester/timing: throughout the academic year.

The module is part of the Public International Law Package and the Law and Technology Package.

Suoritustavat

In the academic year 2022-2023, the course is available to be completed as an essay. Please find instructions for the essay at https://bit.ly/3wlo9r0. There is no need to contact the teacher prior to turning in the essay. HOWEVER, please sign up in Peppi for the correct year's Implementation of OTMEVAL0052. Without this, course credits cannot be registered.

Please allow 3 weeks for review and 1 week for registering of credits. Pleae note that credits are NOT registered in the month of July or in early August. Therefore, exchange students are heavily recommended to turn in the essay, at the latest, before the end of May.
