Start of University Studies (5cr)

Objective

Common component of Lapland University of Applied Sciences education (2 credits):
You will get to know Lapland University of Applied Sciences as a study environment and you will know the services and systems that support studying. You will develop your university study skills and abilities, as well as your information acquisition skills. You will identify factors related to your own study ability and well-being, and you will consider how to maintain your own study ability and how to take care of your own well-being.

You will be able to use digital study tools and utilize them appropriately in your studies. You will become familiar with the study guidance system and you will know the university's guidance agents.

You will be able to act safely in your study environment and you will be familiar with the university's safety instructions and practices.

Programme-specific component (3 credits):
You will become familiar with the curriculum of your programme and prepare your own study plan under supervision. You will get to know the students and teachers in your own group. In addition, other objectives defined by the programme.

Opiskelija arvioi korkeakouluopiskeluvalmiuksiaan ja -taitojaan sekä ottaa käyttöön opiskelukyvystä ja -hyvinvoinnista huolehtimisen keinoja. Hän osaa käyttää korkeakoulukirjaston palveluja ja osaa tiedonhankinnan perusteet. Hän tietää opiskelua tukevia palveluita ja järjestelmiä sekä ohjaustoimijat Lapin ammattikorkeakoulussa. Opiskelija osaa käyttää opiskelun digitaalisia työvälineitä. Opiskelija on laatinut omien opintojen suunnitelman. Opiskelija on saavuttanut koulutuskohtaisesti määritellyt osaamistavoitteet.
