Responsible Tourism and Experience Management
Creating Experiences in an Event (project)
The student knows how to manage human resources in tourism related SMEs offering experience products and can recognise the requirements for HRM practices derived from co-creating meaningful experiences. He/she understands the contents of human resource management (HRM) functions and methods and learns to implement them in practice. The student is familiar with the essential labour legislation and knows the main collective labour agreements that concern the tourism field and is able to apply them in practice. He/she is able to act as a superior/supervisor in the tourism related SMEs and has a command of labour law and employment contract issues related to the tourism field. The student has a command of e.g. staff planning, staff acquisition, induction training and he/she knows how to apply HRM related ICT tools in practice.

These are the general assessment criteria. Please note that there might be more specific assessment criteria for learning assignments which will be given at the beginning of the study unit.
Poor (1)
The student has limited knowledge of the contemporary human resource management practices in tourism related SMEs. He/she understands somehow the contents of HRM functions and methods and but does not really know how to implement them in practice. The student knows the basics of the essential labour legislation. He/she participates in the contact lessons but does not bring very much contribution. The student is not able to show an analytical, reflective and critical approach in his/her activities. Only some assignments are performed according to the instructions.
Fail (0)
The student does not complete the assignments according to instructions or does not attend the learning situations at all. He/she does not pass the assignments and/or the exam as required.
Satisfactory (2)
The student has basic knowledge of the contemporary human resource management practices in tourism related SMEs. He/she understands somehow the contents of HRM functions and methods and learns to implement them in practice at a satisfactory level. The student is rather familiar with the essential labour legislation and knows the basics of the main collective labour agreements that concern the tourism field and is able to apply them in practice at a satisfactory level. He/she participates in the contact lessons but does not have a very analytical, reflective and critical approach in his/her activities. Most of the assignments are performed according to the instructions.
