  • All the material and instructions for the training can be found from Moodle: Hoitotyön harjoittelut. 

  • Use the material provided the theory course during this training to deepen your learning and skills. 

  • Use professional guidelines provided by Finnish sources such as: Terveysportti, Evidence Based Medical Guidelines by Duodecim, Current Care (Käypä Hoito) by Duodecim

  • Use protocols and guidelines provided by the training placement

  • Workseed--> assessment form of the training

  • Use Medication Passport https://laakehoitopassi.fi/ 

  • Take a small notebook  with you to keep record of your learning, vocabulary and for collecting feedback

Teaching methods

Guided practical training at the Medical/Internal diseases work environment: suitable placements to reserve-> check Hoitotyön harjoittelut Moodle.

*Workseed - evaluation form-> personal goals and evaluations+tasks

*Evaluation discussions via cellphone/Teams or Face to Face: Mid and Final are held between the teacher, student and a supervisor.

Fail:

• You do not have the ability to treat patients with major internal diseases as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
• You are unable to define the patient's care needs holistically. You do not know how to plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based nursing work with the patient and their relatives, and with those involved in the nursing process.
• You are not able to guide and support the patient and their loved ones proactively, professionally, and by promoting health.
• You are unable to report orally and in writing and to act aseptically and in accordance with infection control principles.
• You are unable, under supervision, to participate in examinations and medication of a patient with internal medicine, justifying their need.
• You cannot work in accordance with the principles of patient safety and occupational safety.
