You are able to define and plan evidence-based and resource-driven methods in family care that improve health, considering cultural backgrounds.
You understand the role of sexuality and sexual and reproductive health as part of family care. You understand the principles of normal course of pregnancy, childbirth and puerperium as well as the basics of out-of-hospital delivery.
You know the different aspects of children and young people’s growth and development.
You understand the importance of attachment and early interaction for children’s growth and development.
You understand the importance of family support for parenting and the daily life of families with children.
You know the main principles of care provided for children, young people and families with illnesses or a need for special support. You can apply information on the most common acute and chronic child/youth illnesses in nursing. You understand the digital healthcare services used to support family health and well-being, and you understand the role of the northern region and distances in family care, including from a patient safety perspective.

You know the most important acute and chronic illnesses in children/young people.
You are familiar with the role of the northern region, the distances and the use of digital
