• You know the connection between payroll and relevant legislation.
• You know the difference between wages and salaries.
• You know the role of taxation and mandatory withholdings in payroll.
• You are able to make calculations for overtime, fringe benefits, sick leave and holiday payment.
• You know how to use an electronic payroll system and can do the monthly payroll for a small company.
• You are able to calculate a personnel budget and make a sensible shift plan.
