Teaching methods

The course is studied independently online. The course progresses according to the stages of the commercialization process: : Step 1 Prepare: Define the concepts of commercializing an idea and new knowledge and present the idea and/or new knowledge that you want to commercialize. Step 2 Understand and determine the value to the customer: Visualize the business opportunity by segmenting customers, creating a customer persona who has a need to use your idea or new knowledge-based product, service or operating model, and describing the customer's path to purchase and use the new product or service. Step 3 Product idea or new knowledge: Create a business concept by conducting a business feasibility assessment (proof of concept) by calculating the economic prototype, conducting a risk analysis and creating a business case for the idea (proof of relevance). Step 4 Communicate the value to the customer: Create a business model to implement the product, service, value proposition, brand and launch plan. Step 5 Report: Write a learning report on the previous tasks, describing the work steps, the content of the work cards, and giving meaning to the work done. As part of the learning report, reflect on your learning. What did you learn and what do you know now? How do you plan to use your knowledge? What grade would you give your performance (0-5). In the tasks of the course, it is allowed to use artificial intelligence (e.g. Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude AI, etc.) and this must be reported appropriately. A literature review related to the topic will be part of the learning report.
