After completing this study unit

• You will be able to utilize your acquired skills and your own strengths in a separately agreed job, where you plan and implement events, projects and/or development tasks related to the promotion of physical activity or health.

Location and time

Start-up info 3 Feb 2025 at 10-11 am in ZOOM (link in Moodle)
The traineeship will be carried out during 2025, the whole course will run from 3 February 2025 to 7 December 2025.

Teaching methods

The info session will be held in Zoom on 3 Feb 2025 at 10-11 am. The link to the info session can be found in the Moodle. At the beginning of the course, the student will meet the responsible teacher and discuss/agree to complete the internship. Discussion times can be booked in the course Moodle workspace and the student will book a suitable discussion time for him/herself.

The student will find an internship placement in line with the competence objectives and will draw up an internship contract and plan with the placement. The placement agreement and plan is signed electronically by the student, the placement site and the supervisor before the placement starts. The signed placement contracts and plans are returned to the Moodle workspace.

The student will produce an internship booklet on his/her internship according to the instructions and return it to the Moodle workspace. The course is assessed by the supervisor on the basis of the internship booklet on a pass/fail scale. The last date for returning the internship booklet is 07.12.2025.

Completion alternatives

Previously acquired skills, such as project work, event organisation, etc., can be used to apply for accreditation. Make an appointment with the responsible teacher to discuss the way in which the competence is demonstrated.

Student workload

The scope of the training is 135 hours, which means about four weeks of full-time training (40 hours) per week. All the work involved in the traineeship, such as the preparation of a traineeship report, counts as traineeship hours.

The course can also be taken as a modified extension, e.g. in the context of a large project. The modified scope of the internship must always be agreed in advance with the supervisor.

Approved
Assessing your own competence:
You have defined objectives for the internship that promote the development of professional skills in the internship plan.
During the internship, you are able to apply and utilize professional skills and the knowledge base in the field of sports by planning and implementing various events, projects and/or development tasks.
In your internship report, you are able to analyze the implementation of the competence objectives, the development of competence and work method management during the internship. You are able to evaluate your own activities and strengths as a member of the work community and are able to network with different actors through the completion of work tasks. You are able to critically evaluate the management of information and skills that are significant for your studies in relation to the demands of working life.

Work community competence:
Performing work tasks related to vocational studies: development tasks in various operating environments. You are able to act in your own role in work communities. You will receive a statement approving the internship from the workplace supervisor.

Ethical competence:
You are able to act in accordance with the professional duties of a physical education instructor and the principles governing the field in different operating environments.

Failed
Assessment of your own competence:
You have not defined objectives for the internship that promote the development of professional skills in the internship plan.
During the internship, you are unable to apply and utilize professional skills and the knowledge base in the field of physical education when planning and implementing various events, projects and/or development tasks.
In your internship report, you are unable to analyze the implementation of the competence objectives, the development of competence and work method management during the internship. You are unable to evaluate your own activities and strengths as a member of the work community and are unable to network with different actors through the performance of work tasks. You are unable to critically evaluate the mastery of information and skills that are significant for your studies in relation to the demands of working life.

Work community competence:
You cannot perform the tasks related to your vocational studies in an internship assignment: development tasks in different operating environments. You cannot act in your own role in work communities. You cannot receive an approval statement from the internship supervisor.

Ethical competence:
You cannot act in accordance with the professional duties of a physical education instructor and the operating principles governing the field in different operating environments.
