Sisältö
This course builds on an international online lecture series and the book Critical Studies of the Arctic: Unravelling the North (Palgrave Macmillan 2022). The course identifies and investigates topics in Arctic human development that research in the social sciences had yet to broach. In order to do this, the course introduces a variety of theoretical approaches spanning aesthetics, affect theory, biopolitics, critical geopolitics, intersectionality, legal anthropology, moral economy, narrative studies, neoliberal governmentality, queer studies and socio-legal studies.
Esitietovaatimukset
The course is targeted to all doctoral researchers at the University of Lapland, no previous studies are required.
