Objective
The main objective of this course is to study the basic concepts and principles of designing and implementation of user interfaces. The course is covering the characteristics of well-designed graphical and Web interfaces and practical guidelines for the design process. Students will learn why well-designed interfaces are important and have a greater usability. Particular attention in this course is paid to the topics of Web interfaces and usability, information architecture and approaches to usability testing. As an outcome, students are able to design and evaluate user interfaces, to plan and implement usability tests.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
To pass the course students has to full fill following assessment criteria:
The student understands generally the main ideas of human-computer interaction and the importance of usability. Also, the student knows some of the concepts and tools discussed in the course but (s)he has difficulties in explaining them and applying. The student submitted acceptable course assignments on time and gave at least 30% correct answers during the final written examination.
