Objective

Students learn basic concepts of data communication and networks; topologies, protocols, cabling, devices and components, and network services. The students learn how to install, configure and operate a Server Operating System. Topics are: operating system selection, server roles, installation, updating, troubleshooting, hardware and application management, services configuration, storage and file system management, networking, system maintenance.

- Introdcution to client-server architecture
- Installing, configuring and operating a server operating system (Windows Server 2012)
- Server Operating System selection process
- Basics of Windows Server 2012 (Server Roles, Configuration and Maintenance, Network Settings)
- Basics of Active Directory Services (Domain, User, Groups and resource managment, Organization Units, Group Scope and type, Task Scheduler, Backup and File Management)
