Objective

Competence Goals:Students have ability to operate in international interactions and in healthcare workplaces. S/He will be able under supervision to plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based nursing care to surgical patients. S/He will be able to identify different types of nursing supervision and decision-making situations. You will be able to confront dying patients and their loved ones professionally. In addition, student knows how to act in accordance with ethical values ​​and principles of nursing, name the main laws and regulations applied in the industry. S/He is able to document nursing care under supervision, in accordance with the national model and make a written report in which information is displayed based on the patient's treatment.
After the course student will be able to diagnose the internal disease patient's nursing needs, to make a care plan and implement nursing care together with the patient and his relatives. S/He will be able to evaluate the changes that occur in patient with internal diseases. Student can apply the anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology knowledge base in the treatment of patients with internal diseases. S/He will be able to carry out supervision to internal patient’s safe medicine treatment and know how to support the patient's commitment to medicine treatment. Student is able to discuss in the multi-professional teams as well as know how to report orally and in written on matters relating to the treatment of the patient. S/He knows how to act according to the patient’s safety issues and practices as well as radiation safety standards.

Opiskelija tietää ja ymmärtää sisätautipotilaan hoitotyön tietoperustan asiakokonaisuuksina ja tuntee luotettavan tiedon kriteerit.
Arvio potilaan tilaa ja selittää hoitotyön tarpeessa tapahtuvia muutoksia anatomian, fysiologian ja patofysiologian tietoperustaa hyödyntäen.
Laatii sisätautipotilaan hoitotyön tietoperustaa hyödyntäen potilaslähtöisen hoitotyön suunnitelman.
Toteuttaa pääosin itsenäisesti sisätautipotilaan hoitotyötä ja ohjattuna turvallista lääkehoitoa.
Viestii ammatillisesti ja pääosin itsenäisesti sekä tekee yhteistyötä ja hyödyntää palautetta.
Toimii eettisten periaatteiden mukaisesti ja käyttää pääosin itsenäisesti potilasturvallisuuden varmistamiseen tarkoitettuja menetelmiä.

Arvio perustellen potilaan tilaa ja tekee johtopäätöksiä hoitotyön tarpeesta erilaisissa hoitotilanteissa.
Laatii sisätautipotilaan hoitotyön tietoperustaa hyödyntäen ja perustellen potilaslähtöisen hoitotyön suunnitelman.
Toimii perustellen ja kykenee yhdistelemään tietoa ja soveltamaan eri auttamismenetelmiä sisätautipotilaan hoitotyössä.
