The student is not able to name the basic concepts of research and does not identify the different stages of the research process. The student is not able to name the principles of good scientific practice and research ethics and is not able to apply them. The student is not able to name the main methods of data acquisition and analysis and is not able to utilize research data to support one's own thinking.

Satisfactory (1)

The student is able to name the basic concepts of research and identify the stages of the process. To some extent, the student identifies and applies the principles of good scientific practice and research ethics. The student is able to name key data acquisition and analysis methods. He / she is able to use research data to some extent to support thinking.

Satisfactory (2)

The student is able to name the basic concepts of research and identify the stages of the research process. The student identifies the principles of good scientific practice and research ethics and applies them to some extent. He / she is able to name key data acquisition and analysis methods and identify related practices to some extent. The student looks at a somewhat critical look at research information and utilizes it to support thinking.

The student is able to look at research information quite critically and utilize it to support thinking.

The student demonstrates a good knowledge of the basic concepts and process of research. The student demonstrates that he / she knows and applies the principles and significance of very good scientific practice and research ethics well. The student knows very well important data acquisition and analysis methods and related choices and practices. He / she is able to critically examine research data and utilize it to support thinking.

The student demonstrates an excellent knowledge of the basic concepts and process of research activities. The student is also able to look critically at process choices. He demonstrates an excellent knowledge and application of the principles and significance of good scientific practice and research ethics. The student has an excellent knowledge of key data acquisition and analysis methods and is able to critically examine related choices and practices. The student critically examines research data and integrates and utilizes it extensively to support thinking.
