Objective

Learning objectives:

The student
- can identify what kinds of support and guidance the client needs in various difficult situations in life
- has the skills to interact and operate in client situations that involve multiple needs
- is able to use their group and individual guidance skills in client work

Content

Contents:
- Substance abuse, sexuality, ageing, risks to mental health and challenging behaviour as special challenges
- Different forms of rehabilitation and therapy
- Work methods that promote safety in difficult situations

Teaching methods

Monimuoto-opinnot.
Opetusta 12 h, josta kampuksella 8 h ja verkko-opetuksena zoomissa 4 h.
Toiminnallinen oppimistehtävä työelämäyhteistyössä sekä itsenäinen opiskelu 119 h. Opetukseen sekä itsenäiseen opiskeluun sisältyy oppimistehtäviä, sekä opetuksen välillä tehtäviä välitehtäviä. Osa oppimistehtävistä puretaan yhteisesti opetuksessa.

Completion alternatives

Oppimistehtävässä työelämäyhteistyössä opiskelija valitsee oman oppimisensa kannalta ja ammatillisen mielenkiintonsa mukaan tehtävänannon mukaisen kohderyhmän ja sopii yhteistyöorganisaation, jossa tekee oppimistehtävän. Työelämäyhteistyössä tehtävästä oppimistehtävästä opiskelija tekee esseen, joka sisältää itsearvioinnin.

Vaihtoehtoinen toteutus esseen sijaan on Podcast-tyyppinen nauhoite (Teams tai Zoom työkaluilla). Vaihtoehtoisessa toteutuksessa tulee myös peilata ja pohtia oppimismateriaalia toteuttamaansa toimintaan työelämäyhteistyössä ja opintojakson aihealueisiin. Lähdeviittaukset on esitettävä ja itsearviointi on tehtävä myös vaihtoehtoisessa toteutuksessa.
