- can describe individual and communal factors connected to addictive behaviour
- knows various substance abuse treatment methods and can refer clients within the service system
- can counsel a substance abuse rehabilitation client

Content

Substance abuse: social, cultural, community, and individual factors contribute to the development of addiction. Preventive work, various treatment options, substance abuse rehabilitation and substance abuse legislation.

- Different treatment ideologies, motivating interview, substance abuse rehabilitation

The student identifies the needs of customer support and services and knows the basic skills of guidance and support. The student names and is able to use a few professional methods of individual, group and community work.
