Objective

Learning Outcomes:

Student
  - can develop writing and speaking skills (attitude, knowledge and skills)
  - knows how to use expert communication in his / her work
  - is able to utilize his / her language and text literacy in writing to analyze and produce appropriate texts for study, work and other purposes
  - evaluate their own communication image and style in voice communication and be able to consider their own and listeners' goals,

Teaching methods

Opintokokonaisuuden tavoite / Osaamistavoitteet:
Opiskelija
* osaa kehittää kirjoitus- ja puheviestintäkompetenssiaan (asenne, tieto ja taito)
* osaa käyttää asiantuntijaviestinnän keinoja työssään
* osaa kirjoitusviestinnässä hyödyntää kieli- ja tekstilajitietouttaan tarkoituksenmukaisten opiskelu-, työelämä- ja muiden tekstien analysoinnissa ja tuottamisessa
* arvioi puheviestinnässä omaa viestijäkuvaansa ja -tyyliään sekä osaa ottaa sanomaa rakentaessaan huomioon omat ja kuulijoiden tavoitteet, viestintätilanteen ja kontekstin.
Opetusmenetelmät ja oppimisympäristöt:
Opintojakso järjestetään verkkokurssina, jossa harjoitellaan puhe- ja kirjoitusviestinnän taitoja. Tehtävissä sovelletaan viestinnän teoriaa itsenäisesti ja ryhmätyönä.

* yksilö- ja ryhmäharjoitukset.
* Moodle-oppimisympäristö: PoodLL-työkalu, keskustelualueet mm.
Oppimistehtävät:
puheviestintä (2,5 op) pakolliset tehtävät:
* puheviestinnän kehittämistehtävä/essee. Yksilötehtävä. Arviointi 0 - K5. Essee on samalla kirjallisen viestinnän pakollinen tehtävä. Palautus Moodlessa.
* suullinen puhe/alustus jostakin sosiaalialan aiheesta: puhut PowerPoint-diat TAI PP-video TAI YouTube-video (kesto 5 minuuttia). Palautus Moodlessa keskustelualueella.
* ryhmän esitys valmistellusta aiheesta: neuvottelu tai kokous. Opettajan antamat aiheet, joista valittava. Palautus Moodlen keskustelualueella. Arviointi: 0 - K5 sekä vertaisarviointi muilta opiskelijoilta.
kirjallinen viestintä (2,5 op):
* tyylioppia:/asiatekstin korjaaminen: lauseiden korjaaminen ja tarkistaminen itse. Ei ole
palautettava tehtävä.
* raportti (pakollinen tehtävä): kotikunnan palvelujärjestelmät. yksilötehtävä. Raportin pituus 2 sivua. Palautus Moodlessa. Arviointi 0 - K5.

Ohjaus ja palaute:
* opettajan palaute esityksistä Moodlessa
* vertaispalaute (toiset opiskelijat) Moodlen keskustelualueella
Opintojakson hyväksytty suorittaminen edellyttää kaikkien pakollisten tehtävävien palauttamista ja suorittamista hyväksytysti (arvosana tehtävistä vähintään tyydyttävä T1).

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The assessment is done through peer review of self-assessment and teacher feedback. The assessment criteria have been derived from the practised skills and are laid down at the beginning of the course and used throughout the learning process.

Speech communications (assessed on a scale of 1–5):

Satisfactory (1–2):
With guidance, the student can write texts that comply with the genre conventions of working life and the degree programme and are suited to the intended purpose of the text. The student’s texts do not fully comply with the genre conventions and the intended purpose of the text. The structure, language, style, tone, layout and source references of the text have deficiencies in regard to the genre conventions.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Good (3–4):
The student can write texts that comply with the genre conventions of working life and the degree programme and are suited to the intended purpose of the text. The student’s texts comply with the genre conventions and the intended purpose of the text. The structure, language, style, tone, layout and source references support the object of the text as regards the content and communications.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Excellent (5):
The student can independently and creatively write texts that comply with the genre conventions of working life and the degree programme and are suited to the intended purpose of the text. The student’s texts comply with the genre conventions and the intended purpose of the text. The structure, language, style, tone, layout and source references support the object of the text as regards the content and communications.

Further information

Aiemmat viestinnän tai suomen kielen ja viestinnän opinnot:
Opiskelijalla on mahdollisuus hakea hyväksilukua joko suullisesta viestinnästä (2,5 op), kirjallisesta viestinnästä (2,5 op) tai koko opintojaksosta (5 op).
Hyväksilukua haetaan Lapin amkin ohjeiden mukaisesti.
Päätöksen hyväksiluvusta tekee osaamispäällikkö / Osallisuus ja toimintakyky (Sosiaalialan koulutus).
Opintojaksolle tulee ilmoittautua Peppi-järjestelmässä ennen opintojakson alkua.
Kun opiskelija hyväksytään opintojaksolla, hän siirtyy samalla osallistujaksi kyseiseen Moodle-oppimisympäristöön. Erillistä kirjautumisavainta ei tarvita.
Opintojakson suorittaminen edellyttää kaikkien pakollisten tehtävien hyväksyttyä suorittamista.
