Objective

After the course student will have a deeper knowledge in music production.

Content

Online lectures in musicproduction techniques and assignments. Hands-on and to-the-point we’ll cover topics such as the importance of sample selection, how to use automation to bring life to a production, and how to make that 808 of yours to punch through a mix. We’ll work on how to turn that eight-bar loop into a fully developed song, while dissecting the details along the way, all the way to the final mixing and mastering stage. The focus of the course will be on the practical work of producing your own song, with the possibility of writing for designated leads provided, and guidance in how to do that. All required is a computer, a will to develop and an interest in what can be found under the hood in the DAW of your choice. Level: Upcoming to advanced
