Objective

Methods of completion

The assignments for the online implementation (pictorial and written assignments and two exams) are divided into small units, the return dates of which are spread over the entire length of the course. The online implementation includes five webinars. The assignments for the online implementation and the independent implementation are very similar. The difference is that the assignments for the online implementation are scheduled differently as there is only one deadline for the independent implementation at the end of the course. In the independent implementation, the exams are replaced by an essay. Completing the course through an internship or accreditation must be agreed upon in advance. Methods of completion

The course can be completed in several different ways: by participating in the basic online implementation or alternatively in the independent implementation, as an internship for a Humak project, or through accreditation of work experience. RPL is also an option if the conditions are met. For OUAS students, only basic online implementation and independent implementation are possible.

Content

During the course, concepts of future and the basics of foresight activities are learned. In addition to this, students will get acquainted with what innovations are and how innovativeness and innovation know-how can be promoted in working life. Futures thinking, innovation competence and the use of creative methods in innovation activities are applied in practice through given assignments.

The course includes an exam (alternatively an essay), which includes written and video material.

Teaching methods

Opintojakso on mahdollista tehdä usealla eri tavalla: perus-verkkototeutuksena, itsenäisenä toteutuksena, Humakin hankkeeseen harjoitteluna tehden tai työssä opinnollistaen. (Avoimen opiskelijoille vain perus-verkkototeutus tai itsenäinen toteutus ovat mahdollisia.) Webinaareja sisältävän verkkototeutuksen ja itsenäisen toteutuksen tehtävät ovat hyvin samankaltaiset. Ero on siinä, että verkkototeutuksen tehtävät ovat tarkkaan aikatauluun sidottuja ja itsenäisellä toteutuksella on ainoastaan yksi deadline opintojakson lopussa. Verkkototeutuksen tehtävät on pilkottu pieniksi kokonaisuuksiksi, joiden palautuspäivämäärät on jaksotettu opintojakson koko mitalle. Verkkototeutukseen kuuluu viisi webinaaria. Verkkototeutukseen kuuluu kaksi tenttiä, itsenäisessä suoritustavassa essee korvaa ne.

Exam schedules

Katso tarkemmat aikataulut opintojakson Hoodlesta. Opintojakson tentit voi tehdä kolme kertaa niiden aukioloaikoina. Toinen ja kolmas kerta ovat samalla myös tenttien uusintamahdollisuuksia, eli tenttejä ei voi uusia enää näiden kertojen jälkeen. Tenttituloksista paras jää voimaan. Tenttejä ei aukaista erikseen niiden aukioloaikojen ulkopuolella.

Student workload

Opintojakson laajuus on 5 opintopistettä ja se edellyttää noin 133 tunnin työmäärää (1 op = n. 26,6 tuntia opiskelua). Vaativuudeltaan opintojakso on eurooppalaisen (EQF) sekä kansallisen (NQF) tutkintojen viitekehyksen vaatimustasoa 6.

Qualifications

You can participate in the course at any stage of your studies and other previous Humak studies are not required. There are no separate entry-level or competence requirements.
