The student is able to - understand the historical, cultural and social background factors of individual growth, the status of a child and the changes in the understanding of the child’s perspective - understand the development of child and family policy - describe the goals of professional education work and understand the governing legislation - identify the underlying factors behind his or her own view on bringing up children - identify and reflect professional educational situations

- values in upbringing and education of children - changing childhood, children’s rights and children’s perspective - child and family policy - upbringing and education as part of growth and learning path of a child - cooperation in education, professional education work - early childhood education services and the Finnish education system - legislation and guiding documents regulating early childhood education and care and basic education

Oppimateriaali ja kirjallisuus ilmoitetaan opintojakson Moodle-oppimisympäristössä.

Teaching methods

Muuttuva kasvatustyö -opintojaksolla tarkastellaan lapsuutta ja lapsuuden merkitystä sekä lapsen aseman muutoksia suomalaisessa yhteiskunnassa. Lisäksi perehdytään omaan ja ammatilliseen kasvatusorientaatioon sekä ammatillisen kasvatustyön (erityisesti varhaiskasvatus) toimintaympäristöihin ja keskeisiin niitä ohjaaviin asiakirjoihin. - Opintojakso suoritetaan itsenäisesti ohjeistetun suoritusjärjestyksen ja aikataulun mukaisesti. - Opintojakson Moodle-oppimisympäristö avautuu 1.6.2025 ja sulkeutuu 31.7.2025. Opintojakso sisältää aikataulutettuja oppimistehtäviä sekä päättötentin. - Opintojaksolle tulee kirjautua 9.6.2025 mennessä, jotta opintojakson voi opiskella. - Opintojakso arvioidaan 19.9.2025 mennessä.
