Teaching methods
In the webinars, you will learn about the theories, models and principles of case management through lectures, discussions and small group work. You will also learn about the theories of service orientation by completing an independent online assignment in the Moodle workspace. In the group assignment, you will apply the information you have learned in the webinars to the planning of a goal-oriented case management process that supports client involvement and resources. The learning method used in the course is problem-based learning. As a learning task, you will reflect, gather material and apply the knowledge together with your group to describe a service pathway for a sample person. At the end of the course, you and your group will present the final result to other students and teachers. In this way, we will learn together how to implement service guidance in different life situations. The webinars will create the conditions and basis for building service pathway descriptions. Therefore, it is important that you participate in each webinar. There will also be time for group work in the webinars. In the groups, each member is a responsible actor, so you should contribute equally to your group and actively participate as a member of your group also during the independent work. In the webinars you will receive guidance and support for your work and progress on the course. In between webinars, teachers will offer you the opportunity for optional tutoring time. If necessary, you can also communicate with your teachers in the Moodle workspace discussion area.
