Objective

The students will know principles of rock blasting and the most used blasting methods as well as normally used blasting charges. They will be able to design and plan a strip mining project and its implementation. They will also know principles of drift mining and underwater mining. The student will know environmental questions and the legislation.

Content

Legislation, explosives, detonating equipment, clearing blasting, quarrying without explosives, strip mining, drift mining, underwater mining, quarrying and environment.
