Objective

After completing the course Palliative Family Care: - you will have deepened your evidence-based competence in the evaluation of the need for palliative care, the special issues of customer-oriented treatment of symptoms, and the psychosocial support for families and patients - you will have mastered drug calculations, become familiar with the key medicine groups used in palliative care and you will know how to administer and evaluate the pharmacotherapy and pain management of the patient - you will understand the impacts of the health and social services reform on palliative care and rehabilitation service processes - you will understand the operating principles required for sustainable development - you will have analysed the special features related to wellbeing at work and the multi-professional workplace community in palliative care.

Location and time

Opintojakso toteutuu Learn/Moodle-oppimisympäristössä e-toteutuksena 25.8.-25-31.8.2026. Arviointeja tehdään viisi kertaa opintojakson aikana. Tehtävät arvoidaan kuukauden sisällä palautuspäivästä. Palautuspäivät ovat: 24.10.2025 19.12.2025 13.3.2026 8.5.2026 9.8.2026

Teaching methods

Tervetuloa opiskelemaan opintojaksoa Palliatiivinen perhehoitotyö! Voit suorittaa opintojakson itsenäisesti verkko-opiskeluna aikaan ja paikkaan sitomattomasti. Opintojakso sisältää: - Asiantuntijaluentoja - Itsenäistä työskentelyä ja oppimistehtäviä - Learn-tenttejä Opintojakson teemoina ovat: - Palliatiivisen potilaan hoidon erityiskysymykset - Lääkehoito - Työhyvinvoinnin edistäminen Opinnoissa opiskelijalta edellytetään omaa kannettavaa tietokonetta (BYOD eli Bring your own device). Edeltävyys ehdot opintojaksolle osallistumiseen: - suoritettu sisätautipotilaan hoitotyö ja gerontologínen hoitotyö -opinnot

Student workload

1 op = 27 h opiskelijan työtä. Opintojakson laajuus on 5 op eli 135 tuntia opiskelijan työtä. Opintojakson suorittaminen edellyttää kaikkien oppimistehtävien ja tenttien hyväksyttyä suorittamista mennessä.
