Objective

After completing the course, the student is able to - look at innovative design critically from the perspective of different needs and future applications - identify the potential of new and innovative materials in the fashion and textile industry - innovatively utilize different materials and technologies in their design - analyze the potential of electronic textiles and integrate electronic components into their plans

Methods of completion

Participation in lectures, group discussions and feedback sessions, acceptably completed assignments. A report documenting the interaction between the researched information and the design process about one's own work and the designed product.

Content

A design and product development perspective on the use of new, innovative materials and electronic textiles in products in the fashion and textile industries. Researched information and data acquisition as a starting point for planning. Independent experimental study of techniques and methods and documentation of the design process. Implementing a prototype based on your own plan.
