Objective

The student understands the basic principles of social entrepreneurship and he/she understands the role of social entrepreneurs as solving global and local challenges. The student is able to identify challenges and come up with solutions to them. He/she is able to develop, write, and present a social project proposal and business plan.

The student knows different forms of entrepreneurship and types of entrepreneurs. He/she knows what it takes to be an entrepreneur and is able to analyse personal readiness to become an entrepreneur. The student recognizes entrepreneurship as a career option. The student knows the importance of social, ecological and economic factors whilst developing his/her business idea.

Teaching methods

Learning process is organized through the project work and problem-solving process. It includes lectures, teamwork, team tasks, team tutoring, independent studies and knowledge acquisition activities.

Level 1
Social Entrepreneurship:
The student understands the basic principles of social entrepreneurship and the role of social entrepreneurs as solving global and local challenges. He/she is able to identify current challenges and come up with solutions to them.

The student is able to develop, write and present a project proposal and business plan according to given instructions.
He/she is able to do basic profitability planning, budgeting and calculations for a small company according to the given instructions. The student is able to measure company's financial performance.

The student knows different forms of entrepreneurship and types of entrepreneurs.

He/she is able to list common traits of entrepreneurs and is able to analyse his/her readiness to become an entrepreneur. The student recognizes entrepreneurship as a career option. The student knows the importance of social, ecological and economic factors whilst developing his/her business idea.

Level 2
Social Entrepreneurship:
The student understands the concept of social entrepreneurship and is able to apply it in solving global and local challenges.

He/she is able to identify current challenges and come up with solutions to them.

The student is able to develop, write and present a project proposal and business plan and make suitable choices/decisions in business planning.

He/she is able to do basic profitability planning, budgeting and calculations for a company according to the given information. The student is able to measure and do some analysis of company’s financial performance.

The student can describe different forms of entrepreneurship and types of entrepreneurs.

He/she is able to identify and describe his/ her own entrepreneurial traits and is able to analyse them in his/her own readiness to become an entrepreneur.

Level 3
Social Entrepreneurship:
The student understands the essentials of social entrepreneurship and is able to utilise social entrepreneurship as solving global and local challenges. He/she is able to identify current challenges and come up with solution to them.

The student is able to develop, write and present a project proposal and business plan and justify them.

He/she is able to do basic profitability planning, budgeting and calculations based on detailed information. The student is able to measure and analyse company's financial performance.

The student understands different forms of entrepreneurship and types of entrepreneurs and their meaning in entrepreneurship career planning.

He/she is able to identify what personal abilities and professional skills one needs to develop.

Level 4
Social Entrepreneurship:
The student has a command of social entrepreneurship and is able to utilise social entrepreneurship as solving global and local challenges. He/she is able to describe current challenges and come up with justified solutions to them.

The student is able to develop, write and present a project proposal and business plan and both justify and evaluate them.

He/she is able to do profitability planning, budgeting and calculations based on detailed and appropriate information. The student is able to measure and analyse company’s financial performance and utilise the results and make conclusions when planning for business.

The student recognises suitable forms of entrepreneurship and suitable types of entrepreneurs in his/her entrepreneurship career planning.

The student is able to recognise his/her strengths and weaknesses as an entrepreneur and is able to take them into account in business planning.

Level 5
Social Entrepreneurship:
The student is able to identify challenges and come up with innovative solutions to them.
The student is able to develop, write and present a project proposal and business plan and critically evaluate them and the viability of the business idea.
He/she is able to do realistic calculations for profitability planning and budgeting. The student is able to measure and critically analyse company's financial performance.
The student recognises his/her strengths and weaknesses and is able to utilise the strengths in business planning.
The student is able to utilise the strengths in planning a successful entrepreneurship path with a strong understanding of social entrepreneurship elements.
