Accomplishment methods

Suoritetaan osallistumalla Lapin yliopiston oikeustieteiden tiedekunnan vuosittain järjestämään tohtorikoulutettaville suunnattuun seminaariin, jossa tohtorikoulutettavat esittelevät omaa tutkimustaan ja laativat erikseen ohjeistetun kirjallisen työn.

Further information

The annual research seminar of the Faculty of Law gathers together doctoral students and other scholars of the Faculty. In the seminar doctoral students get to present their ongoing work to an academic audience and receive valuable feedback. The seminar is also a great opportunity to get to know other scholars.

By participating to the event and completing the separate assignment doctoral students can complete the mandatory study requirement “Research seminar, 5 cr.”. Separate instructions on the assignment and how to sign up will be provided closer to the event. Participation requires submitting a text a week before the event. This text can be a draft for an article (if you are working on an article-based dissertation) or a chapter (if you are working on monograph). Workshops will be organized in both languages, Finnish and English.

Sign up through Peppi, after which you will gain access to the Moodle workspace. Further instructions will be given in Moodle.

The actual seminar will take place on 23 and 24 October 2025.
