Objective
You know the physiological effects of cold and understand the physical and psychological effects of cold on a person’s ability to function, health, and movement. You understand the importance of the cold to the implementation of exercise and know the risks associated with cold exposure and the appropriate methods to manage them. You take into account the requirements of clothing and protection against the cold set by northern conditions, and you know the most typical accidents related to cold exposure.

-The study unit is conducted online in the Moodle online learning environment. It can be studied independently at your own pace during the implementation period rom 2.2.2026 to 3.5.2026
-The study unit features/includes inquiry-based learning – Students search for relevant information from various sources and develop new perspectives.
-Study unit will be assessed within one month after the study unit ends of 3.5.2026
-This study unit follows the Arene’s recommendations on the use of artificial intelligence for universities of applied sciences.
-All assignments must be submitted/completed by 3.5.2026 at 23:59
